“I’m so excited for it to all be set up!”

A super excited client has truly appreciated the work I collaborated with her on in creating a design for her home. Once I sent over the finalized design she replied with, “I’m so excited for it to all be set up!” This immediately put a smile on my face, as I am equally as excited for her AND to be guiding her in creating more peace in her home, while keeping her family’s needs at the forefront of the rework. I must admit, it was a lot of work. FUN, but a lot of hours. In my experience, the work put in makes it that much sweeter at the end when someone feels like you are gifting them a solution that they were, for a variety of reasons, not able to see or come up with on their own. Listen, I get it- we are busy, resources sometimes limited, not sure where to start, etc, etc. I have these moments as well, trust me I can relate. However, what I feel like I am able to gift my clients is a personal touch: an understanding of their family, their unique needs, their style, and, most importantly, in my perspective, knowledge of the developmental needs of their child(ren) in the home environment. My beliefs, which are derived from my training of Montessori’s beliefs, are that children are to be gifted properly prepared environments in order to grow to their fullest potential! This is what my service will provide to you!

It has been a blast so far meeting and envisioning more functional and accessible spaces that are developmentally appropriate for my client’s now almost 3 year old son and 2 month old baby. Creating these spaces in the home environment, while also working to create more organization and a natural flow and calmness in the home overall is what I look forward to sharing in and this is exactly what transpired in this design. Working closely with her allowed me the chance to build a connection of understanding, which guided me in creating an experience that truly caters to her family and home at this time. I received another message shortly after the one mentioned before that made me light up just as much, “I’m inspired to go through our whole house and organize!” Awesome 😎

Along with the designs of the spaces in the home, part of ‘The Star’ package is specifically outfitting these spaces with furniture and materials to complete the recommendations of developmentally appropriate areas for the child(ren). I researched, to my clients preferences, specific furniture and materials that would complete the accessibility and engagement aspects of the areas for both children. My client appreciated the link lists of sources and prices of furniture, tools, supplies, materials and activities that I personally suggest including in a Montessori-at-Home space for her 3 year old and 2 month old. As she mentioned herself, and many of my clients mention as well, this is something that is truly helpful to her and I am so happy to be able to share customized piece to complete the picture.

I am having such fun putting to use this passion I have for Montessori in helping more families embrace more of it in their home environment. I look forward to setting up my client’s beautiful spaces for her sons’ further development of independence through discovery and engagement. I feel just as excited to bring this vision to life!
